Ceramic collection
Asís & Blau
2023

The pieces in this collection embrace contrast. Pure lines, geometry, and the pursuit of minimal expression engage in dialogue with the rawness of the material, in a quest to find balance between the abstract and the tangible, the one-of-a-kind piece and serial reproduction, logic and emotion.

Clara Fernández, living & working in Buenos Aires, has been immersed in art for as long as she can remember—drawing, painting, sculpting, observing. This early connection shaped everything that came after. Today, as co-founder and creative director at Asís, she leads projects and develop her personal practice with a singular approach:

“I like to think I build visual worlds. Complex universes with their own rules, language, colors, limits. They’re not static pieces; they’re living systems.”

For Clara, art is an act of deep connection with life, distilling the essence of things until the visual decisions become inevitable.

With over 15 years of experience in the design field, she studied at the University of Buenos Aires (FADU), a school known for its conceptual rigor. But it’s her intuition—subtle, sharp, unmistakable—and a rare sensitivity that define everything she does. Clara is profoundly honest in her process. She believes in beauty as structure, in honesty as methodology, and in respecting the work of others as much as her own.

Beyond graphic design and visual arts, she writes fiction. Writing is a practice that feeds her visual work—a different way of thinking about narrative and world language. Some of her short stories have been adapted into animated short films that she also directed, and Aire released in 2022, was screened at over 15 international festivals.

Paper Cut Series
2021

This series of artworks draws inspiration from the structure, fragility, form, and symbolism of bird nests and their relationship with the surrounding nature.

Through paper cutouts, the aim is to capture the essence of these ephemeral constructions, exploring how to create empty space and the intimate relationship between organic elements that are woven, stacked, layered, and accumulated, constructing form and meaning.

Paintings
2025

The sky that doubles in the sea, sometimes turbulent, sometimes paralyzed in an impossible stillness.
A sharp line that curls into a multitude of small waves, contours, boundaries of water and land. A tense
silence. Depths, transparencies, distances that fade away, gestures of water, immensity.
